Types of Articles Published:
JMWE will consider technical articles dealing with wind-driven and conventional merchant ships and off-shore wind installations, exploring factors such as design, construction, operation, maintenance, financing, economics, insurance and safety.
Article Submission:
Publishing and accessing JMWE articles is completely free of charge under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/), which permits you and others to distribute your work at will, as long as proper attribution is provided. If your article is published, you may be asked to serve as a reviewer in future issues.

JMWE allows flexibility in how articles are organized. Articles must be clearly written in English, and work must be original. The following must be included with your submission:
1) A cover letter to the editor describing in one paragraph what is new and original about the submitted article, as well as the lead author's academic or professional affiliation.
2) The article itself, including all authors' names and affiliations in the body of the article.
3) The article must include an abstract. This must be a short summary of what you have done. Maximum length is 400 words. Avoid unnecessary details.
4) The submitted article must reference relevant published articles dealing with the submitted article topic, from peer-reviewed publications. The purpose of this is to educate article readers on past work relating to the submitted article.
5) Article must be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
Publishing:
After articles are reviewed, the lead author will be notified of one of three possible outcomes: reject, resubmit with corrections, or accept.
Articles will be published on this web site using the Creative Commons License CC BY 4.0, which allows authors and others to redistribute articles (see https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ ).
Articles will be published on a rolling basis, and assigned a unique designator to allow clear identification and referencing.
